The Hoxie Area Chamber of Commerce in coordination with the Sheridan County Community Foundation is pleased to bring in Fort Hays State University's Management Development Center for an "Intro to Facebook Marketing for Business" facilitated by Dr. Mary Martin, Professor of Marketing.


This hands-on, three hour interactive training will focus on Facebook Marketing for Business and will include the items listed below.

This workshop requires the use of Wifi (available onsite) and a laptop computer. A limited number of laptops will be available for use. Please indicate if you need one on the registration form.


  • Why use Facebook to market your business?
  • Setting objectives for marketing your business with Facebook
  • Creating and Populating a Facebook business page
  • Generating and publishing content for Facebook
  • Facebook Ads
  • Facebook Analytics (Page Insights and Ad Reporting)
  • Budgeting Time and Resources


$35.00 per participant (accepted online or by check due the day of the event; no refunds after July 9th).

Registration fee includes light morning refreshments and a boxed sandwich lunch during the networking luncheon immediately following the training at 11:30 a.m.

At this time, registration is limited to 15 individuals. A waiting list will be created if needed.


The workshop is being underwritten by the Hoxie Area Chamber and Sheridan County Community Foundation.


Dr. Mary Martin is a Professor of Marketing at FHSU. Prior to joining the faculty at FHSU, Dr. Martin was co-founder of a strategic consulting firm in Charlotte, NC that offered clients marketing plans, marketing research, organizational strategy, business plans, and e-business seminars. Prior to that, she was Director of Marketing for a company that produced interior decorative coatings for aircraft. While there, she developed web-driven and traditional marketing strategies, including website promotion, design, construction, and maintenance.
